WHAT IS "YACHT ROCK", ANYWAY?
Wikipedia claims yacht rock has elements of soul, jazz, R&B, funk, disco, and traits that include high-quality production, clean vocals, and a focus on light, catchy melodies. But what they don't mention is how much fun these songs are to sing and dance along to with us!
Just imagine that you're leisurely tacking your sailboat into the rays of a chartreuse sunset - a warm Pacific breeze tussles your hair. You're sipping some Reunite on ice while the 8-track hi-fi serenades you with your favorite smooth rock hits. An undeniable smile crosses your lips and your hips begin to sway involuntarily to the sultry sounds.
That's "Yacht Rock" and it's appearing live on a stage near you soon!
